Sold and Closed in Manassas – 13902 Napa Drive Manassas, Virginia 20112
There are certain times in real estate where something is just meant to be and when you are a part of a transaction that fits that definition it’s nothing short of amazing. It’s not something you can give justice too just through words but, I’ll do my best.
Napa Drive is one of the most unique homes I have had the pleasure of seeing in the Northern Virginia area. The home was designed and constructed by the original owner and he shared with us that it took him just one night to come up with the design. This home was sought after from the moment it hit the market and when my clients toured it they knew it was the one. They included a letter with their offer giving the sellers a little background on their family and why they fell in love with the home. The gracious sellers accepted the offer – it wasn’t the highest bid but, they said they felt my clients were the right people to become the new owners of the home. After living there for almost 40 years it was needless to say a big change in the sellers lives.
Napa Drive has over 3,000 square feet of living space with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The extensive decks, heated pool, and pergola will be perfect to enjoy throughout the summer and fall. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet, still minutes from shopping, dining, and major commuter routes makes this home a hidden gem. The great room with a stone fireplace overlooks the sunroom that leads out to the tree framed backyard. I know my clients kids are looking forward to feeding the goldfish in the small pond next to the walk way in front of the house. Storage is ample to Napa Drive as well with an oversized two car garage, two storage sheds, and even a pad to park a boat or an RV.
The seller’s agent, Beth Ide with Coldwell Banker in Woodbridge was nothing short of perfection. A seasoned and true professional from the very beginning. Both the sellers and the buyers were present for the home inspection and got a chance to get to know each other. With the seller being the builder we knew it was right to have him present so that he could help show us the inner workings of the home. The sellers were kind enough to leave behind all the tools my clients will need to take care of their new 1.64 acre yard – including an almost brand new riding mower. They also left the generator for them, pool equipment, and furniture.
This is the kind of transaction that just doesn’t happen very often. Beth and I would often chat while working towards closing that we really couldn’t have planned for this to happen. My buyers have been clients for years and have turned into friends. They’re wonderful, kind, and caring people. The fact that they found a home who has been owned by equally lovely people and were chosen to become the new owners didn’t just happen – it was meant to be.
