Eddie V’s Prime Seafood Restaurant in Tysons Corner

Eddie V’s Prime Seafood Restaurant in Tysons Corner

We recently had date night at Eddie V’s in Tysons Corner and can’t wait to return. The restaurant has wonderful reviews online and a big local following. I went in with high expectations and certainly wasn’t disappointed. The ambiance is modern but, with a classy vibe and the floor to ceiling windows in the dining room give a great view to enjoy while you dine.

We started out with oysters and the horseradish that came with them was the best I’ve ever had. Both of our meals were delicious – I went with the ahi tuna and Paul went with the scallops. Notice the missing scallop on the plate in the picture, he couldn't wait to try them! The portion sizes were just right, not too big and not too small. We shared a few different sides; asparagus with egg and prosciutto, lobster mashed potatoes, and truffle mac and cheese. They were all delicious but, my favorite was the truffle mac. Let's be honest though, I'm a sucker for mac and cheese! For dessert we shared the Hot “Bananas Foster” Butter Cake. It’s made in house and it’s to die for.

The food was exactly what I was expecting, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented but, what really made Eddie V’s memorable was our server. Bryan Simmons is everything you want in a server. He’s helpful and makes great suggestions about the menu and he’s attentive but, not overbearing. In the hour and a half we were there we felt like we were old friends of Bryan’s. He went out of his way to make our dinner enjoyable and truly went above and beyond. If it weren’t for him we wouldn’t have tried the Butter Cake and my mouth still waters thinking about how amazing it was.

We have talked about the restaurant a few times since date night and the conversation always revolves around the server. Would we be as excited and inclined to return if it weren’t for Bryan? No, we wouldn’t – he’s what made our experience so memorable. As with most businesses a restaurant takes teamwork and Bryan is a key player to Eddie V’s. I loved the atmosphere, it’s in a convenient location, and the food was delicious but, without Bryan’s extraordinary service it would be like many other restaurants in our area. You can tell he really enjoys his job and does everything he can to make sure you’re having a fabulous dining experience. He gave us his card when we were finishing up and there’s no doubt when we return we will request for Bryan to be our server.
