Labor Day Events In Northern Virginia and DC- September 2017
Labor Day weekend is fast approaching and there are some great events to check out in our area. While most schools in the DMV have already gone back there’s still time to celebrate the unofficial end of summer. If you haven’t made plans yet check out the below events in Northern Virginia and DC.
September 2nd, 2017 from 1pm to 9pm
Lake Anne Jazz and Blues Festival - the 11th annual Jazz & Blues festival is a free event in Reston, Virginia. This is a FREE family friendly event that will showcase regional and national jazz & blues artists.
September 3rd, 2017 at 8pm
The National Symphony Orchestra will perform a free Labor Day Concert on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The concert is produced by the Kennedy Center. Gates open at 3pm and rehearsal is at 3:30pm. This is a FREE event.
September 4th, 2017 from 8am to 3pm
Come out to Fairfax to the 18th Annual Labor Day Car Show. Enjoy a day of cars, music, food, and fun. This event is FREE. You’ll find hundreds of cars that range from antiques to custom masterpieces. Live music, food, raffles, and trophies will all be part of the fun. Donations to local charities are appreciated.
September 4th, 2017 from 11am to 5pm
The annual Labor Day Festival in Herndon features craft beer, Virginia wine tastings, live music, crafts, lawn games, and lots of delicious food. Tickets for wine/beer tastings are $20 and general admission is $5. Kids under 12 are FREE.
